Créations Rebelles des Bois

It was in 2003 that Nathalie Bilodeau and Claudia Labrèche first met one another at the top of Mont-Edouard Ski Centre. The opening of their boutique, Créations Rebelles des Bois, followed three years with the objective of showing off the creativity of Saguenay artists and artisans by providing a showcase for their work in the tourist haven of L'Anse-Saint-Jean.

Claudia is originally from Montreal, where she obtained a diploma in graphic design. In 2002, returning from several years of travel, she moved to L'Anse-Saint-Jean where with her uncle and other associates, she opened a quaint bistro-bar. She operated the establishment during four years before leaving to realize her own dream…creating wooden jewelry!

Native of Chicoutimi, Nathalie studied wood-working in Lac-St-Jean, all the while enjoying her favorite sports: skiing and sailing. L'Anse-Saint-Jean thus became the ideal place for her to settle down. After spending several years building wooden furniture, a new challenge presented itself: the creation of a brand new business, where she would work as part of a team, to unite the region's artists and artisans.
